Caronport Medical Clinic - Compassionate Community Care

About The Clinic

Caronport Medical Clinic was first started in 1976 by Dr. Lorne Penner.
Later Dr. Roger Jacobson took it over.  Both physicians were devoted
family doctors who established the clinic's reputation: dedicated to helping the community and its individuals with respect for all, and with warmth and excellence.  Dr. Susan Bell took over in September 2009 and strives to continue this tradition.  This is a family practice where a wide variety of services are done, with an atmosphere of small town friendliness, and yet with its sights set on finding new ways to better meet the needs of the individuals it serves, while keeping pace with the ongoing changes in health care knowledge and delivery.

The clinic is at 300 Birch Street in Caronport, at the corner of 1st Ave. and Birch behind the Husky gas station.  Dr. Bell sees patients here Monday - Friday mornings and most afternoons.  When required she will also see people here in evenings and weekends (urgent care after-hours problems).

Certainly part of the success of any clinic is due to its office staff.  Through the past nearly seven years I have been at CMC I have been truly blessed to have had amazing staff working on this team. Currently we have Janice who has been my rock for over 4 years and assisted the clinic through several changes including our new server installation and privacy policy development. She is a sharp cookie! And in the fall of 2015, when Laura went onto new endeavours we hired Penny.  Laura did most of Penny's training and did an amazing job!  And though very sad to lose our friend Laura, we really are blessed to have Penny who is spiritually wise and will make anyone feel welcome.
